Boko Haram's feared attack on Ngoshe leaves many dead, 10 abducted

A report yet to be verified by security officials said at least 10 persons were abducted by Boko Haram insurgents by Boko Haram insurgents who also allegedly killed several other residents when they launched an attack on Ngoshe village of Gwoza local government on Saturday.
A top officer of the vigilante Group of Nigeria, Gava Abbas told Kareem's Pick that amongst those killed was one of his colleagues, Musa Abdullahi.
The attack was further confirmed by a former council leader of Gwoza local government, who would no want to be named in this reporting.
He said officials of Gwoza are still waiting for the details of casualties from the attack.
The military has not issued any statement yet.
Ngoshe is one among the numerous communities located behind the moutainst surrounding Gwoza town. Boko Haram fighters have always been taking advantage of the rocky and difficult terrain of the area to launch attacks and evade military onslaught.

Meanwhile, the spokesman of the Nigeria Army, Major General Sani Usman said in a statement issued to the press that Troops of 152 Battalion, 21 Brigade Nigerian Army, on Operation LAFIYA DOLE, have Friday ambushed and neutralised a formation of Boko Haram insurgents hibernating along Banki-Bula Yobe road in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.
He said "the troops sprung the ambush on the terrorists and neutralised 1 of them and recovered 4 Bicycles, some Mechanical tools which aids the terrorists vehicle movement, clothes and explosive wires from the ambush site".
Similarly, he said the troops of 151 Battalion, 21 Brigade Nigerian Army, also ambushed some unsuspecting Boko Haram terrorists who were attempting to cross into the Sambisa forest at about 7:40pm same day, along BOCOST-Bama road.
"Troops neutralized a large number of them while some of the terrorists escaped with gun shot wounds", he said.
"The gallant troops rescued a 6 years old boy and recovered several items which includes, 8 Bicycles, blankets, Jerricans, plates, mats, spanners, cutlasses, clothes, and a pair of Boko Haram terrorists Special Forces Uniform. The rescued boy is receiving further at the Brigade's medical facility.
